At Gandalf's insistence, Bilbo Baggins joined Thorin Oakenshield's company of 13 Dwarves on their mission to Lonely Mountain to reclaim Erebor from the fierce dragon Smaug. He may be a Hobbit, but he proved to be an adventurer through and through.

The wizard comes into possession of the map that leads Thorin and his company to Erebor. After separating from the company, Gandalf seeks help from old and powerful alliances to give the warring civilizations a fighting chance of defeating evil in The Battle of the Five Armies.

Thorin Oakenshield's Weapon

Thorin Oakenshield

The leader of the Thirteen Dwarves, destined to reclaim his rightful throne as "King Under the Mountain." Upon establishing his rule, he fights to keep his Kingdom intact, falling victim to "dragon sickness." His stubbornness leads him to take on Thranduil's army and forces a standoff between himself and Azog the Defiler.

Kili's Weapon

Kili

Nephews of Thorin, Kili and his brother Fili are amongst the best warriors in The Company of Dwarves. After being captured by Woodland Elves, he falls in love with Tauriel. Their paths continue to cross as they seek each other out until the final battle.

Legolas' Weapon

Legolas

Son of Thranduil and prince of the Woodland Realm. As a master bowman and fighter, he often accompanies Tauriel into battle. His affection for her leads him to the Battle of the Five Armies as she follows Kili.

Tauriel's Weapon

Tauriel

Captain of the Elven guard. Tauriel is a fierce warrior with an unusually strong interest in the world outside of Mirkwood. Her unyielding passion for what is right and her budding love for Kili puts her directly at odds with Thranduil.

Thranduil's Weapon

Thranduil

As King of the Woodland Realm, Thranduil stood watch as Erebor fell to Smaug, as his only interest is the welfare of his own people. He leads his army to Lonely Mountain only to reclaim Elven treasures from the new King Under the Mountain, Thorin.

Bard's Weapon

Bard

Provides refuge for Thorin and his men as Kili recovers from his Morgul injury. When Smaug attacks Lake-town, Bard slays the dragon with a black arrow and takes leadership of the town’s residents. He also fights alongside Thraunduil's Elves to take back Dale when it is overrun by Orcs during the battle.

Azog's Weapon

Azog

Leader of the Orc legions. Dedicated to ending the Durin line, he hunts Thorin and his Company of Dwarves, trying to keep them from reaching Erebor. The Battle of the Five Armies sets the stage for his final confrontation with Thorin.
